Bulletin — Vote by Mail Florida vote-by-mail requests have expired by law — everyone must re-request. Deadline for the Aug 18 primary: Aug 6, 5 p.m. How to fix it is below.

Key Dates & Vote by Mail

The big one: under Florida law (Fla. Stat. 101.62), every vote-by-mail request filed before 2025 has expired — even if you voted by mail in November 2024. You must submit a new request for the 2026 elections. It takes two minutes online with your county Supervisor of Elections: Broward · Palm Beach · Miami-Dade. A request made now is good through the end of 2026.

Election DayTuesday, August 18

Florida’s primaries are closed: you must be a registered Democrat by July 20 to vote in Democratic primaries. Exception worth knowing: when every candidate in a race is from one party, that contest becomes a universal primary open to all voters — several Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade races work that way this year (they’re flagged in our candidate guide).
